The Curriculum in Wales Framework is designed with Y Pedwar Diben (The Four Purposes) in mind.
Its aims are to develop children who are:
Ambitious, capable learners
Enterprising and creative
Ethical and informed citizens
Healthy and confident
Within the Framework, Ysgol Sant Baruc is given the authority to design bespoke learning experiences that are uniquely relevant to our school community.
As such, our curriculum is exactly that: ours.
It reflects our ethos, our values and our place in the world.
Children develop at a rate of knots, but they don’t do all their development at once. With each passing birthday comes a new stage of development. Children put a lot of energy into areas of development and one builds on top of another one - there’s no rush; progress is the name of the game.
The Curriculum is everything that happens between Ysgol Sant Baruc’s doors opening in the morning and closing in the evening – and sometimes beyond!
